This was the perfect stop on my way into Big Bend NP. Danny was a great host and greeted me with much needed water and snacks after a long drive from ATX. The room was clean and comfortable and met my needs since I was only looking for a place to rest between days at the park.

The big plus is the owner, he's really friendly and that makes all the difference. The room is simple, but it's these retro types that I feel most comfortable in; it has all the basic necessities. This place seems to be a magnet for cyclists like me. It was my 4th night of a twenty-one day tour. I also love Sanderson as it's small, remote and peaceful.

we were driving through thinking we would find a place here in Sanderson to spend the night and Danny waved at us to come stay at his motel. so driving by i wasn’t impressed but as we were driving i read the reviews and we decided to turn around and go back and stay at his place. the reviews are correct. it is a clean room, water is cool and good water pressure. ac in room with a fridge. everything we needed. he has soap( which i needed) so thank you Danny! we would recommend for an overnight stay on your way to big bend. Danny is a super host he makes the place worth it. super nice guy.

Stayed here for a few weeks working. Nice clean rooms with room service everyday. Zero complaints! Would recommend. Dog friendly too!

Great wildlife viewing nearby the area. Owner is very sweet and nice, provided snacks in the room and greeted us with iced water at check-out. The rooms are nice for the price, would stay again next I go for wildlife viewing in the area or if I’m passing through.

We stayed her in 2012 on our Southern Tier bicycle tour and came back in 2026 to see Danny who had treated us so kindly on our first visit. He was so friendly and helpful to us then and we were lucky he was still here now. The hotel is open again after being closed during CoCod and if you stop here you will be treated well and have a comfortable room to stay in.

Outstanding Care and Service from Danny at Budget Inn My experience at Budget Inn was truly above and beyond thanks to Danny. My car broke down unexpectedly, and without a moment of hesitation he stepped in and made accommodations for me. In a situation that could have been extremely stressful, he handled everything with kindness, patience, and genuine concern. Danny made sure I had a safe and comfortable place to stay, checked in to make sure I was okay, and helped make the whole situation so much easier to deal with. You don’t meet people like that often. The room was clean, the environment was quiet, and the level of care I received was better than many big hotel chains. I’m incredibly grateful for everything Danny did for me during a tough moment. If you need a place to stay, I highly recommend Budget Inn — and definitely ask for Danny. His hospitality is truly exceptional.
